Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said the work of nation building started by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vaypayee is being carried to fruition by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Fadnavis, who was speaking at the distribution of the Atal Sanskruti Gaurav Purashkar, also talked about the various initiatives taken by the former Prime Minister which helped the country.

Fadnavis talked the initiatives taken by Vajpayee such as the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yogna as well as the Golden Quadrilateral project. Both these projects helped in the economic revival of the country as well as helped in connecting all the states together.

“Nation building, which is being done by our current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was infact dreamt by Vajpayee,” said the Deputy Chief Minister.

On Monday, Fadnavis presented the Atal Awards constituted in the name of the late former Prime Minister to senior classical singer Prabha Atre and Pramod Chaudhari, founder chairman of Praj Industries.
